A handcrafted stained glass hummingbird with sweeping wings and a shimmering iridescent accent that shifts color as it catches the light. Rich teal and dusty purple transparent glass give this graceful silhouette depth and movement, while the textured iridescent wing flashes different colors throughout the day.

Inspired by the speed and elegance of hummingbirds in flight, this minimalist design captures their unmistakable shape with just a few carefully chosen pieces of glass. A folded metal beak and clean lead came lines complete the simple, graphic silhouette.

Made by hand in my central Indiana studio using traditional stained glass techniques, each hummingbird is carefully cut, assembled, soldered, and finished before being paired with a hanging ribbon. Because the glass is handmade, every piece has its own variations in color, texture, and light reflection.

I make these hummingbirds in small batches, with only a handful available at a time.
