This handcrafted stained glass leaf suncatcher begins with the glass itself. Each leaf is individually shaped from carefully selected art glass, allowing the color, texture, and movement within the glass to guide the design.

The organic shape of each leaf is enhanced with hand-shaped wire details that follow the natural lines of a leaf. A sturdy center vein extends above the leaf to create the hanging loop, while additional wire veins flow outward toward the lead came edges, adding dimension without taking away from the beauty of the glass.

Choose from available glass designs:

Teal Cathedral — a bright transparent teal glass with a smooth surface and jewel-like clarity.

Tiger Beach Blue — a medium blue streaky glass layered with white and soft amber tones. The shifting patterns create beautiful movement as light passes through the glass.

Warm Orange & Red Wispy — a crisp orange glass with flowing red wisps throughout, creating a rich and lively combination that is especially striking in a sunny window.

Originally inspired by the beautiful pieces of art glass that were too small for larger panels but too special to set aside, these leaves are a reminder that every piece of glass has a story.

Made by hand in my central Indiana studio using traditional stained glass techniques, each leaf is carefully shaped, edged in lead came, and finished before making its way to you. The combination of hand-selected glass, thoughtful design, and traditional craftsmanship makes each piece a small work of handmade art.

The leaf measures approximately 3" wide × 6½" tall, including the hanging loop. It is a lovely addition to a sunny window, reading nook, office, or garden space. It also makes a thoughtful gift for nature lovers, gardeners, and anyone who appreciates handmade stained glass.

Because each ornament is handcrafted, slight variations in glass texture, finish, and details may occur. These natural differences are part of what makes handmade stained glass special. Learn about variations in handmade stained glass.
